Publisher's summary
A sweet M/M meet cute that will have you smiling from ear to ear.
Jackson
They say nothing in life is promised, I know that now. When everything I've ever known imploded I made the impulsive decision to leave it all behind by moving to this small town where nobody knows my name. They also say to expect the unexpected, and I just might like that more.
Alex
They say you can't have it all and I'm starting to think they're right. I have a thriving business and great friends- so why is it I've yet to find The One? Something else they say? Good things come to those who wait- and I've been one hell of a patient man.

The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. Story
I’m in control of my life. That has become Burke’s mantra. He lost control somewhere along the way, descending into a downward spiral until he hit rock bottom. Now he’s back, sober, and determined to never be in that position again. Ever. That’s why he loves being a dominant. He’s in charge. He can plan everything into detail. He’s in control. Until he runs into Wander, a private security guy who volunteers to become Burke’s mentor in the club.

Story
There’s a lot I’ve never told my best friend. The fact that I love him. That I miss him every day he’s gone. That, sometimes, I ache for him with a ferocity that leaves me breathless. Lucky Buchanan tore into my life as a boy, wild and daring, my opposite in every way. He drew me in, stole my heart without trying. He hears me, even though I rarely speak a word. But I always knew this place wouldn’t be enough for my free-spirited friend. I knew he wasn’t mine to keep.

Story
The 1960 baseball season is shaping up to be the worst year of Eddie O’Leary’s life. He can’t manage to hit the ball, his new teammates hate him, he’s living out of a suitcase, and he’s homesick. When the team’s owner orders him to give a bunch of interviews to some snobby reporter, he’s ready to call it quits. He can barely manage to behave himself for the length of a game, let alone an entire season. But he’s already on thin ice, so he has no choice but to agree.

Short But Oh So Sweet
Joe does a nice job of distinguishing between Alex and Jackson and it makes this adorable story come alive. I love a feel-good novella that leaves me smiling.
