Publisher's summary

Jealousy, tragedy, survival, and revenge - the discovery of Christopher’s diary in the ruins of Foxworth Hall brings new secrets of the Dollanganger family to light and obsesses a new generation. With Flowers in the Attic and Petals on the Wind both now major Lifetime TV events, this first new addition to the Dollanganger story in nearly 30 years is a timely look at the events in the attic - from teenage Christopher’s point of view.

And don’t forget to preorder the follow-up, Christopher’s Diary: Echoes of Dollanganger!

Christopher Dollanganger was 14 when he and his younger siblings - Cathy and the twins, Cory and Carrie - were locked away in the attic of Foxworth Hall, prisoners of their mother’s greedy inheritance scheme. For three long years, he kept hope alive for the sake of the others. But the shocking truth about how their ordeal affected him was always kept hidden - until now.

It’s Gets the Job Done

(NO SPOILERS) The book had a decent enough of a plot line, despite it being somewhat ridiculous. I do believe that if you are huge fan of the series I definitely recommend checking it out (I must admit I’ve been a fan of the Dollanganger series for years). The book was interesting to listen to because I wanted to hear more about the legacy the Foxworth family left behind. Although, trust me it can’t go without being said that the narrative is most definitely not the best and in my opinion hurts the book more than anything you may find objectionable in the book itself. Other than that though it’s a fun read and helps the time go by!

Awesome story

Really good story I just wish that they wouldn’t end it on a cliff hanger I really hope they wrote another book to finish off this story after waiting 16 years after the first time I read flowers in the attic I just now found out about this book (6 years after it was written) but it was nice to hear it from Chris’s side but still wanting to hear more to complete this story so be prepared to have it end with you wanting more

Lazy retelling

Not worth time or money. Awful! The performance was terrible along with the lazy retelling of the original story via a diary.

Disappointed

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I'd like to hear more of what Christopher went through

What was most disappointing about V.C. Andrews’s story?

It ended lacking

How did the narrator detract from the book?

They couldn't detract from something that wasn't there.

Do you think Christopher's Diary: Secrets of Foxworth needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes, because it gave us nothing it was a waste of money, really disappointed in that book. I wish I had saved my money.

Any additional comments?

This was the first of her books that I felt this way about.
