Publisher's summary

Elizabeth Meyer stumbled upon a career in the midst of planning her own father's funeral, which she turned into an upbeat party with Rolling Stones music, thousands of dollars' worth of her mother's favorite flowers, and a personalized eulogy. Starting out as a receptionist, Meyer quickly found she had a knack for helping people cope with their grief as well as creating fitting send-offs for some of the city's most high-powered residents. Meyer has seen it all: two women who found out their deceased husband (yes, singular) was living a double life, a famous corpse with a missing brain, and funerals that cost more than most weddings. By turns illuminating, emotional, and darkly humorous, Good Mourning is a lesson in how the human heart grieves and grows - whether you're wearing this season's couture or drugstore flip-flops.

Little content about the funeral industry.

Boring and slow book.

Too much emphasis on the girl and her wealth and upbringing.

Unusual but still a 5 Star book

This was unusual but I still enjoyed every moment of listening to this book. It was good to listen to the things that go on at a funeral home.

Surprisingly a great listen!

Not sure why I choose this book to buy, but glad I did... Elizabeth is changing the world by changing the way we say goodbye to our loved ones. It took a person very unlikely to get involved in the funeral business to actually see how morbid the ceremony and process is... I'm looking forward to seeing her next book or rather her next funeral home she owns.
Thanks for sharing your book Elizabeth!
Best of luck celebrating souls in their send offs!

fantastically unusual journey

As a morbidly leaning individual, this was a refreshing journey with a diverse set of personalities. I wish their was more of her story. would definitely listen to again.
