Publisher's summary
In another galaxy, far, far away from Earth, an evil Empire controls 3/4ths of the star systems and yearns for more. Those regions not under their control have either traded obedience for their sovereignty, are too wild to tame, or too dangerous for Imperial troops to tread upon.
The main thorn in the Emperor's side is the Frontier, which occupies a third of the lawless and barbaric Outer Rim. Countless commanders and fleets have been sent to pacify and annex it into the Empire. All have failed.
The meager colonies established in the region are beset by constant wars and disasters. So the Emperor decides to change strategy. If an Imperial commander cannot give him what he desires, then perhaps an enemy can.
Aatroxiss, one of the few surviving members of the Keeno Order that the Empire has hunted to near annihilation, is captured and brought before the Emperor himself. But before Aatroxiss can wield the Kalla and kill him in his own throne room, the Emperor makes him an offer he cannot refuse.
The Frontier, given to Aatroxiss under the guise of him serving the Empire. He can do whatever he wishes with the region, so long as he brings order to it. Conflicted by wanting to kill the Emperor and avenge the deaths of the other Keenos, he wisely hesitates as he sees the opportunity in this. For over 200 years the Rebellion has failed to free a single world from the Empire. But if he agrees to become the Emperor's Grand Admiral in charge of the Frontier, he could free hundreds of worlds, if not thousands, from Imperial tyranny in fact, if not in name.
The Emperor knows it too, and in his gloating way has cornered Aatroxiss. Will he choose vengeance or rescuing others?
A Keeno can make only one choice, and as predicted, he strikes a deal with the Emperor for the sake of the billions of people in the Frontier. Thus Grand Admiral Aatroxiss is born, and upon his shoulders all of the Frontier's problems are about to be heaped while the Emperor continues his tyranny of the rest of the civilized galaxy...

Story
Long before the world of man, demons and demigods battled for dominance. After the demons were finally bound in the Well of Sacrifice, the system of good and evil became tentatively balanced. Now that balance is threatened.
Marked at birth by the gods, Renn and Avaris set in motion an ancient prophecy that promises to shift the balance of power, so dark forces will rule unchecked. With armies and a host of magic users at his command, the Grand Warlock, Khan Devin, is determined to use the boys to fix his place as the unchallenged ruler of man.

We learn that we are the forgotten slaves of a galaxy spanning empire called the V'kit'no'sat who abandoned our planet 100,000 years ago during a massive rebellion. Our ancestors, the Zen'zat, were given special genetic powers and ordered never to reproduce under pain of death...for themselves and their offspring. That means Earth's entire population is illegal and if the V'kit'no'sat return to reclaim their lost border colony they'll wipe out every last one of us.

The Revelation: A name given to an event that, five years ago, changed the world forever. In a single day, humanity discovered that not only were they not alone, but they were not exactly at the top of the food chain. Living in the shadows for millennia, supernaturals now had no choice but to finally come into the light. Because of the fury of a mad god, humans and supernaturals now had to learn to coexist side by side for the first time in living memory. With the revelation that magic was not only real but far more common than fairy tales led them to believe, a new society had to be born.

I’ve always been a scrapper, so when I was snatched from my world by shadow creatures and hauled to another one, I did as I’d always done. I fought. But I still didn’t know anything about where I was. My luck was in, because I quickly had the good fortune of meeting a sexy prophetess and a gorgeous, blue-skinned, redheaded mage who said she was something called a moonwisp. Yeah, magic was a thing. The problem with that? Everyone in the world had some. Magic, that is. Everyone but me. I guess that’s what I get for coming from a non-magic world.
