Publisher's summary

He has to be engaged to keep his inheritance. She has a point to prove and a broken heart to avenge by rejecting his proposal. Can love possibly overcome such deceit?

Miss Grace Weston has read countless books involving courtship and romance. Putting her knowledge into practice, she offers her assistance in finding a match for her sister, declaring herself an expert in romance. She is well-read on the subject, after all.

When a bargain between sisters is struck, Grace is unable to resist a challenge. She must prove her expertise by gaining a proposal, one she plans to reject, from the man whose fleeting flirtation left her heart in ruin years before: Lord Ramsbury, the next Earl of Coventry.

But Lord Ramsbury's pride does not take well to rejection, especially when he learns he must marry to keep his inheritance. And so he undertakes a challenge of his own: He will change Grace's mind. In a battle of pride and proposals, his heart becomes more involved than he ever thought possible. To win the battle and Grace's heart, he must employ his most harmful weapon.

But what is so harmful about a bit of romance?

Phenomenal series!

I enjoyed the first 3 books in this series so much! I cried, and laughed. The characters were so well developed and the story lines drew me in immediately. Absolutely loved the narrator as well. Great job to author and narrator 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Good Story

I enjoyed this book because I felt the characters were a little more believable but due to my years on this earth not sure that our hero is fully reformed from his roguish ways. The narrator is not my favorite but she did a better job on this book than others I have heard her on. Thank you for the enjoyable book!

What more could you want

Spoiler** I love a couple who can fight & still fall in love! This book is really fun, there are many twists and turns that take you on a roller coaster, but not too high or too low. A dying man, a lie, two heart breaks, one happy couple. What more could you want?

Terrible narrator

A clean romance and acceptable plot but the reader's breathy narration made the characters sound so insipid! I never want to listen to this reader again!

Very Disappointed

Book 3 did not live up to the romances portrayed in the first two books. This was a huge disappointment because it was Lord Ramsey, whom we've all learned of his previous heartaches and follies. The hope is he would have a swoon worthy match. Unfortunately, the woman he ends up with is a horrific, selfish, insecure witch. The entire book is about her antics and therefore void of any romance... we get a blip of a HEA during the epilog only. I feel so unsatiated, darn it! The soon to be Earl"s character deserved so much better than Grace as a partner. Oh well trilogies are not always successful I guess. Glad it was included in the Plus category so I didn't have to waste a credit.

Inane plot, below average narration

The plot was inane which is not a requirement for this genre. The h was immature. The entire plot hinged on this immaturity, which made reading the book a matter of wading through nonsense. I quit reading, skimming some parts and jumped to the end. h sees the light, and ends the silliness. H forgives her. The end. Waste of time and the cost of the book.

Some may appreciate this narrator. It is a matter of taste, perhaps, but her unique style has worn thin.
