Publisher's summary

When 17-year-old Maddy Pruitt vanishes from her sleepy town, word on the street is that she ran away. The daughter of an abusive alcoholic with a quick temper, she had every reason to leave in search of something better, and everyone who knew Maddy knew the type of company she kept wasn't always ideal.

But when a second 17-year-old girl from a local, affluent family turns up missing shortly after Maddy's disappearance, the circumstances become suspicious. Even though the girls are perfect strangers from opposite sides of town, attended separate schools, and traveled in different social circles, it turns out they have more in common than anyone could have imagined.

With the clock ticking, those closest to the girls lead a frantic search, uncovering secrets, lies, and a web of deceit that might have the girls paying an ultimate price...if they don't find them in time.

Contains mature themes.

Definitely Enjoyable.

Decent storyline and characters you can care about. It got a little jumbled for me toward the end but it wraps up nicely and all is explained.

Implausible

The plot was twisty but implausible. It was entertaining at best and juvenile at worst. I will not listen to another book by Neva Navarro in the future. I couldn’t stand hearing “bed”, “breath” and “chest” pronouced as “bad”, “brath” and “chast”. The pronunciation became irritating very quickly. The other two readers were fine.

Entertaining but not surprising…

Caught and kept my attention however I feel like it was rushed, especially toward the last two hours. I remember thinking “they are going to tie this up that quickly?!” And was disappointed with the outcome.

Interesting plot

I was fascinated by how much the author put in the mind of each character. Well done

WOW! A tale of deceit.

Great book. Took a few chapters to realize that all of the characters were interconnected. The ending is astounding...did not see it coming. Great job by this new-to-me author.

Credit worthy (possible spoiler alert)

There are always a few good people. But to the author’s credit, identities are not revealed until the end.
Recording is a little bumpy but mystery fans will definitely enjoy it

A Hard Listen!

This was a good book but it made me go and hold my baby just a little tighter and made me go over and emphasize the rules of outside and why they're important! This world is so crazy and it seems to be more evil than good out here nowadays and this book brought one of a parent’s worst nightmare to light.
