Story
It’s not always easy to tell when you’re dealing with a narcissist. One day they draw you in with their confidence and charisma, the next they gaslight you, wreck your self-confidence, and leave you wondering, What could I have done differently? As Dr. Ramani Durvasula reveals in It's Not You, the answer is: absolutely nothing. Just as a tiger can’t change its stripes, a narcissist won’t stop manipulating and invalidating you. To heal in the aftermath of their abuse and protect yourself from future harm, you first have to accept that you are not to blame.

So many of us feel lonely, unfulfilled, or trapped—in our roles and relationships, in cycles of self-sabotage and bad decisions, by our patterns and misguided attempts to feel happy or to feel something. According to existential psychotherapist Sara Kuburic, it doesn’t have to be so difficult. Really. The answer is found in facing ourselves—whatever version that might be, regardless of whether we like the person we see reflected back to us. It’s about accepting full responsibility for the choices and actions that create our reality.

Narcissistic abuse creates a tidal wave of confusion, hypervigilance, and overthinking. You have trouble thinking clearly, remembering things, or taking in new information. And because these changes are happening to you, you begin to wonder: What's wrong with me? Why can't I make this relationship work? Am I fundamentally broken? And that's exactly how narcissistic abuse works—it happens so subtly that you believe the insecurities you're experiencing are "you" instead of "what's happening" to you. This audiobook covers unique information related to narcissistic abuse.

Your book came out at the perfect time. How the timing aligned with my healing journey feels as if my prayers were answered. I’m not a religious person but I find peace in prayer. I prayed in the middle of the night because I was struggling with so many thoughts. I asked for guidance, and your words gave me that in the most profound way. I’m so grateful for you and for my prayers being answered in this special and healing way. May Allah reward you🥹💐❤️🩹

changed my life less than 20 mins in!!!
najwa is incredible and she shoots to the top of my favorite authors list after listening to the only constant. you can tell how much hard work she put into this project. her eloquent vulnerability is so powerful and inspiring, and is even more emphasized with her personal narration. it feels like she’s sitting right next to me, like a long lost friend. i don’t even want to get to the ending so thankfully i’ll just listen to it 1000 more times 🤣💓 can apply to any phase or season of life we enter or go through. 12/10 recommend!!!!!

“The only constant is…”
I love the sincerity in every word that Najwa expresses - It puts me at ease and allows me to both connect with her on a deeper level and it also makes me feel like she’s like a good friend, sitting right beside me, on the couch. I haven’t had that type of support…so who Najwa is, her vulnerability and the care that she exudes, often brings me to tears.
And at this moment in my life, this book completely speaks to where I am. This change, my life changes…they’ve been tremendously difficult, but this book has helped me to breathe. I’ve taken notes, wrote down quotes and saved clips because of how much Najwa’s words connect to me.
I’m so very grateful that I ran across an IG post of her, years ago…back when she wrote Welcome Home. Since that book, I’ve been hooked!
I believe in Najwa’s message and that she is and will continue to bring so much healing, to so many people!
Thank you Najwa! ❣️

Really taps into areas where you can get stuck.
The meditations/steps really helped me to process some of my stuck emotions and move on with life after a catastrophe. I highly recommend.
