Publisher's summary

The Nelsons have grown tired of waiting for danger to come to them.

Now they are going to take the fight to their enemy.

Whether that be hit and run attacks against a much larger goblin army by Emily, a raid into the sewers under the capital by Jackson, or the final confrontation with Duke Holstein, they are taking their destiny into their own hands.

They will exploit the dungeon's time distortion, develop new crafts, and even learn the secrets of cooking with cilantro.

All this and more as they seek to put to rest any challenge to their place in Eloria.

Continue this epic LitRPG adventure with the second installment in the Life in Exile Series. It's perfect for fans of C. M. Carney, Blaise Corvin, and Charles Dean.

One of the best

Not since The Land by Aleron Kong have I enjoyed a series this much. With fully fleshed out characters, compelling story line, great dialogue and witty banter make this one of the best series to listen to.

The is one of the best LITRPG.

I enjoy LITRPG and this one is one of the best series out there. Spoiler alert, it is more about a whole family gaining powers and leveling up instead of just one person. The Narration could have been better but the story is great. I pray the author continues this series because there is so much more for the characters to do.

Another great installment

This series has definitely become one of my top 5 favorite LitRPG’s. I love the class building the characters go through. My only gripe from previous books was the Mom was a little whiny, but she turned it around in this book and embraced her new life as a ninja healer.

Amazing!!!!

Like I've hear from others, book 1 starts out a bit slow. Book 4, on the other hand, is absolutely breathtaking. More than once my eyes watered from the pure emotion screaming from the narrator. I can not recommend this story enough. Book 5 can't come soon enough.
Thank you for an amazing series.

Best One Yet👍

Story was great, got lots of time with the whole Nelson family.
Peter was great, I love how dramatic he gets at time, it really adds to the story. He doesn't over do it either, it's all about timing.

Action Jackson!

Jackson had to return to the academy. It was his turn now to gain experience, skills, abilities, and a class. He was no longer concerned with the mistreatment and beatings he had received on his last visit. Meanwhile, Edwin Holstein, with his evil co-conspirator Semien, continued with their plans against Albia and King Harold Borstein. While General Icorn, along with Captain Radick, would use the coming winter months to prepare for the Goblin Hoard in the spring. In Airis’s Rise, they too were preparing for the coming war. In a stroke of genius, Baron Mirkwood used the time dilation of the Bastion of Thralls to expedite the training and crafting of the citizens of Airis’s Rise by leaps and bounds. Of course, the dungeon still served to level up the parties that tested its strength. Emily, aka Lady Amerie, finally realized that she was not a human in an Elven costume and came to embrace her Moon Elf existence and heritage. With this revelation, she felt more at peace with her station and was able to apply herself in many ways and/or areas that she had previously avoided. Holstein made his move against Albia while Borstein sent distress messages to his peerage, including Baron Mirkwood, but Dave was reluctant to leave Airis’s Rise until it was safe to do so. There is much yet to take place in the world of Eloria before any hint of conclusion. This series has been a complete surprise to me on how remarkable and exciting it has been. I am a devoted fan of LitRPG novels, and this one certainly ranks in my top ten. Looking at Audible’s offerings, volume one “Uncontrollable” is available for another series “Class Shift” that I may peruse, although I shy away when only one book of a series is published. I shall keep Sean Oswald in mind.
