Isabelle should be blissfully happy - she's about to win the handsome prince. Except Isabelle isn't the beautiful girl who lost the glass slipper and captured the prince's heart. She's the ugly stepsister who cut off her toes to fit into Cinderella's shoe...which is now filling with blood. Isabelle cut away pieces of herself in order to become pretty. Sweet. Publisher's summary
The 12th installment in the New York Times best-selling series asks: What if Rapunzel's mother drank a potion from the wrong flower?
Desperate to save the life of their queen and her unborn child, the good citizens of the kingdom comb the land for the all-healing Sundrop flower to cure her...but someone mistakenly picks the blossom of the Moondrop instead. This shimmering flower heals the queen, and she delivers a healthy baby girl - with hair as silver and gray as the moon. But with her mysterious hair comes dangerous magical powers: the power to hurt, not heal. For the safety of the kingdom, Rapunzel is locked away in a tower and put under the care of the powerful goodwife Mother Gothel.
For 18 years Rapunzel stays imprisoned in her tower, knowing she must protect everyone from her magical hair. When she finally decides to leave the only home she's ever known - to see the floating lights that appear on her birthday - she gets caught up in an unexpected adventure with two thieves: a would-be outlaw named Gina and Flynn Rider, a rogue on the run. Before she can reach her happy ending, Rapunzel learns that there is far more to her story, her magical hair, and her future than she ever knew.

When a banished witch falls in love with the legendary trickster Loki, she risks the wrath of the gods in this moving, subversive debut novel that reimagines Norse mythology. Angrboda’s story begins where most witches' tales end: with a burning. A punishment from Odin for refusing to provide him with knowledge of the future, the fire leaves Angrboda injured and powerless, and she flees into the farthest reaches of a remote forest. But magical lands have little need for used-up miracle children. Nancy tumbled once, but now she's back. The things she's experienced...they change a person. The children under Miss West's care understand all too well. And each of them is seeking a way back to their own fantasy world.

You define life or it defines you. In Shawn Speakman’s case, it was both. Lacking health insurance and diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2011, Shawn quickly accrued a massive medical debt that he did not have the ability to pay. That’s when New York Times best-selling author Terry Brooks offered to donate a short story that Shawn could sell to help alleviate those bills—and suggested he ask the same of his other writer friends. Unfettered is the result: An anthology built in order to relieve that debt, featuring short stories by some of the best fantasy writers in the genre.

Everyone loves Mathias. Naturally, when he discovers it’s his destiny to save the world, he dives in headfirst, pulling his best friend, Aaslo, along for the ride. However, saving the world isn’t as easy, or exciting, as it sounds in the stories. The going gets rough, and folks start to believe their best chance for survival is to surrender to the forces of evil, which isn’t how the prophecy goes. At all. As the list of allies grows thin and the friends find themselves staring death in the face, they must decide how to become the heroes they were destined to be.

BEST TWISTED TALE YET
Normally the others are great, but only have small changes to the story, but this one added so much to the point that I love this one so much more than the original. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. GET IT NOW.

Not Bad
Not exactly what I expected but also what I expected. Good Ending. Wish it had part 2.

Love a good twist!
This story was so so good! The character development was so much greater than what we were given in Tangled.
One piece that felt a bit unnecessary was the story within the story. I didn’t really think we needed the context of the brother telling his sister a new version of the fairy tale. But overall it wasn’t too distracting.
My only disappointment was that at the end of a couple chapters it seems as though the sentences were cut off and it skipped ahead. Luckily I planned to buy the physical copy of the story any way but it was still a bit jarring and disappointing.

Great story
Funny story, but sucks that some chapters got cut off. I’ll be reading the rest of the series.
