Publisher's summary

In 1994, Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson were brutally murdered at her home in Brentwood, California. O. J. Simpson was tried for the crime in a case that captured the attention of the American people, but he was ultimately found not guilty of criminal charges. The victims' families brought civil cases against Simpson, in which he was found liable for willfully and wrongfully causing the deaths of Ron and Nicole by committing battery with malice and oppression.

In 2006, HarperCollins announced the publication of a book in which O. J. Simpson told how he hypothetically would have committed the murders. In response to public outrage that Simpson stood to profit from these crimes, HarperCollins canceled the book. A Florida bankruptcy court awarded the rights to the Goldmans in August 2007 to partially satisfy the unpaid civil judgment, which has risen, with interest, to over $38 million.

The Goldman family views this book as Simpson's confession, and has worked hard to ensure that the public will read or listen to this book and learn the truth. This audiobook was produced from the original manuscript approved by O. J. Simpson, with additional insight from the Goldman Family, Pablo F. Fenjves, and Dominick Dunne.

Mixed opinion

I absolutely hate The Killer, OJ Simpson. The only reason I bought the book is because I found out the proceeds went to the Goldmans. I'm teaching a high school Forensics class and we're studying this case to learn about DNA evidence, so I thought my students might like to hear what he had to say.

The only good parts of the book were the forward by Kim Goldman and the ending by Dominick Dunne. I hope the Goldmans hound him until the end of his miserable life and take every penny they can get their hands on.

As for the story according to the Killer, (spoiler alert) he was there with a knife in his hand, Ron and Nicole were there, he was screaming at them, and then he woke up to find their lifeless bodies lying in massive pools of blood. "How could this have happened? I certainly didn't do it!"

Did he really think he was going to convince us to become his adoring fans? I just hope he committed another robbery so they can put him back in jail where he belongs.

OMG!! This Book Made Me Mad!!

It's definitely difficult to listen to the killer reaccount what happened that night. I never believed he was alone. I knew Ron would try to protect Nicole. The fact he behaves like NOTHING was ever his fault. Shows that he is a true narcissist. My heart still breaks for the families.

Crazy that Ok thought he could get money from this

Good narration depending on your opinion this is a confession or Oj's love for fame leading to do the most desperate thing. Either way interesting listen none the less.

He did it

After reading this I can’t believe what an arrogant man he is to openly admit it. Very detailed...

Well

I wasn't sure about listening to this given the circumstances, I wish he had admit what happened in detail but also can tell by the writing that it was the ramblings of an abuser. I wish the families all the best, this is worth listening to for sure for a small better understanding but not by much.

A+ for the reading!

The reader gives one of the best performances I’ve ever heard in an audiobook. You really feel like it’s OJ talking.

What a “hypothetical” confession!

He did it, we all know he did it. The act of a monster who selflessly took 2 lives. We can say all these bad things about OJ because they’re all true, but the light he shed on the details of his marital problems and how much of the arguing was because of Nicole’s insecurities and mood swings, were all so real. This podcast/book gives the in depth look at what happened before , during and after the murders. Highly recommend if you want to know what actually happened. Be prepared to unconsciously side with OJ during this story.
