Mark S. Waxman is a multiple Emmy Award winning writer and producer with hundreds of television credits. He began his career as a CBS executive developing comedy and drama series, during which time he also wrote scripts for “The Young and the Restless.” After serving as CBS Vice President of Children's Programming, Mark became Program Director of Los Angeles public TV station KCET, where he also developed, wrote, produced, and directed over 400 hours of programming. He created, wrote, and produced the internationally acclaimed kid's science series, “Beakman's World” for CBS. From 2007-2022, Mark was the sole writer of NBC's most watched special, “The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.” His debut novel, “The McVentures of Me, Morgan McFactoid,” was endorsed by President Obama's choice for National Teacher of the Year. His comedy, “The Funny Kid,” is the first book targeted to young adults that addresses the issues of childhood obesity. His latest book, “The Bones of Ghost Mountain,” is a thrilling mystery for all ages. Mark is married, has two great sons, and one grateful rescue dog.
